Galdola Ella Falls

The source of the Galdola Ella waterfall is a tributary of the Rakwana River, which descends from the eastern slope of Suriyakanda Mountain in the Sinharaja forest reserve. The waterfall cascades over rocky terrain, occasionally disappearing beneath rocky outcrops. The abundance of rocks gives the waterfall its name, "Dola" which means rock pool.

The Galdola Falls can be found at the 82nd mile post along the Ratnapura-Pelmadulla road, close to Rakwana. The Rakwana rest-house is located only 3 kilometers away.
