Dehena Ella Falls (Gaslabu Ella)
Dehena Ella Falls, also known as Gaslabu Ella, is an impressive waterfall that stands at a height of 73m. Its source is a small spring called Gaslabu Ella, and the stream, known as Dehena Dola, flows from Perya Udagama on Dehena Mountain. The waterfall cascades in twin chutes from the plain of Udaamunatenna and then flows via Pandola to the Bambarakotuwa River.
Near the base of the pool, there is a small opening in the stone called 'Gathula', which means 'inside of the stone'. It is said that during heavy rain, the caves surrounding the waterfall are submerged, and the road becomes obscured by mist. However, during dry spells, the flow is slow. Unfortunately, the land towards the top of the waterfall has been stripped of trees for timber and tea plantations, leading to a depletion of aquifers.
