Indikatu Seya Complex

The entire compound is surrounded by Prakara stone walls and is also known as "Katuseya." A plain moonstone is placed in front of the access stairs of the traditional stupa, which is constructed on a raised square platform.

The platform measures 13 meters in length and 50 cm in height above ground. Dressed granite stone covers part of the dome.

One of the few that the Archaeological Department opened was the Indikatu Seya. The relic chamber did not contain any ashes or other human remains, unlike the majority of other stupas in Sri Lanka. At Indikatu Seya, Sanskrit scriptures carved on 31 copper plates were found in place of artifacts.
Guard stones can be found on a few adjacent picture dwellings. The carvings are really tiny yet have superb artistic quality and are in good condition.
