Lanka Ella Falls

Lanka Ella Falls remains one of the few waterfalls in Sri Lanka that has remained untouched by human activity due to its remote location. Situated approximately 1 km away from the Bambarakanda Falls, Lanka Ella Falls can only be accessed on foot.

The waterfall is named after the rock pool below it, which has a unique teardrop shape resembling that of Sri Lanka. However, this pool is known to be extremely deep and is not recommended for swimming.

To reach the waterfall, take the footpath from the road leading to Bambarakanda Falls which leads to the top of the waterfall. Trekking through the forest for around 1 km will lead you to the Lanka Ella Falls.
