Dunhinda Ella (Bridal Falls)

Dunhinda Falls is Located about 5 Kilometers from The City of Badulla. This Fall is certainly one of the most beautiful Waterfalls in Sri Lanka. ‘Dun’ in the local language means mist, the falls gets its name from the misty foam it forms, and means Smokey Dew drop spray. 210 feet in height and which Is about 64 Meters its also known as the Bridal Fall as the shape of the waterfall takes the shape of a Bridal Veil.
The area the Falls is located is said to have been once inhibited by Indigenous people of the Veddha tribe. During King Rajasinghe's ruling, an enormous fern blocked the entire flow of water, between two mountains resulting in the flooding of the Badulla town. The task of clearing this giant fern took three months the town emerged.
