Kevuliya-Round Island Lighthouse

The Kevuliya Lighthouse, also known as Round Island Lighthouse, is located on a small rocky island in Trincomalee Bay. It was constructed in 1863 and has a focal plane of 21 meters (61 feet), emitting three flashes every 15 seconds in either white or red, depending on direction. During British rule, it served as one of three navigational aids for ships entering Trincomalee Harbour. Although the lighthouse is currently non-functional, visitors can access it only by boat.
