Shri Bhakta Hanuman Temple
Nestled in the serene hills of Ramboda, the Shri Bhakta Hanuman Temple stands tall, built by the Chinmaya Mission of Sri Lanka. The temple's location on a hill offers a panoramic view of the Kotamale Valley and Reservoir, making it a popular attraction for visitors. Legend has it that King Ravana had hidden Sita in this area, and Hanuman came to search for her. The temple is not too large, but the beautifully carved 16-foot black granite idol of Hanuman is the highlight of the temple. Surrounded by a well-maintained garden, the temple also features an ashram with rooms named after the characters of the Ramayana, as well as a vegetarian restaurant.
