Blow Hole (Hummanaya) at Dikwella
Once you arrive, it's about a 20-minute trek along newly built shallow steps to reach the spot. Along the way, little kiosks sell cool drinks and fresh catches of the area, including delicious batter-fried preparations of different kinds of fish.
Even from a distance, you can hear the sounds of the blowhole. There are intermittent periods of silence and then sounds similar to faraway rumbles of thunder - "Ho-ho-ho" - as the pressure builds up. After a while, you'll hear the delightful sound of the spray hissing high up, reaching almost 120 feet into the sky at times.
