Christ paved on the flower altar on which the 27 feet long Buddha statue in sleeping posture is constructed in the shrine room. Almost 100 of these have been pressed on to the flower alter be-
side the great recumbent Buddha in the Mahā Vihāraya. This is the only Vihāra in Sri Lanka where
such an unbelievable sight is found.
