Anagimala Ella Falls

The Kanneliya-Dediyagala-Nakiyadeniya (KDN) forest complex, located 35 km northwest of the city of Galle, was declared a biosphere reserve by UNESCO in 2004. It is the second-largest remaining rainforest in Sri Lanka after Sinharaja and has been recognized as one of the most botanically diverse regions in South Asia. The forest complex is home to a wide range of flora and fauna, including various orchids and colourful butterflies. The months of May and June are particularly vibrant, with a natural wildflower garden in full bloom.
