Pasikudah and Kalkudah Beaches
There is no shortage of great beaches along the eastern coast of Sri Lanka, and two standout stretches are Pasikudah and Kalkudah, located just 33 kilometres from Batticaloa. These beaches are situated on either side of a point, with Pasikudha to the north and Kalkudah to the south. Visitors can enjoy kilometres of pristine, unspoiled white sandy beaches and shallow waters that are perfect for swimming.
One advantage of these beaches is that they are relatively quiet, owing to their distance from major cities, although they can get busy on weekends.
